HILLVIEW FARMHOUSE
The Vision
For Brad & Hayley, their vision was to create an architectural home that embraced both beauty and functionality. "We wanted a space that would cater to our large family, with clear views to the front yard, backyard and pool area so we could always feel connected to the kids."

Living on an acre offered them the opportunity to enjoy more space and the design was carefully tailored to suit both the block and their lifestyle. The H-style layout with a dedicated kids' wing, central living hub & master wing, strikes the perfect balance. Providing privacy where it's needed while keeping the family close. It's a home designed to grow with them, offering cherished spaces for years to come.
Design Inspiration
The design inspiration was to embrace a modern farmhouse aesthetic, timeless and welcoming, yet tailored to its rural setting. From the outset, Brad & Hayley envisioned a crisp white clad exterior accented with black windows, a combination that delivers striking simplicity and enduring charm. “We couldn’t be happier with the end result,”.

Inside, warmth was layered through a variety of timber finishes, complemented by thoughtful details such as VJ paneling, glazed feature doors, and raked ceilings. Their Pinterest boards were filled with earthy textures and natural fibres, all chosen to enhance the farmhouse character while keeping the spaces intentional and inviting.

Influences from Studio McGee and Hagit Taylor Design guided the palette, with both studios known for creating interiors that balance elegance with a lived‑in country feel. The result is a home that blends modern design with rustic inspiration, curating spaces that feel both purposeful and deeply personal.
Planning & Execution
The design of Hillview Farmhouse was carried out in collaboration with Kirby from Brik Design. With a clear vision for her selections, Hayley worked closely alongside our team to bring every detail together, ensuring the home reflected both their lifestyle and aesthetic goals.

Set on a generous block, the planning process allowed Brad & Hayley to take full advantage of the landscape, shaping a layout that feels intentional and expansive.
The kitchen, laundry, bar, desks, and butler’s pantry were all designed, manufactured, and installed by the amazing Kitchens for Living team, adding a layer of craftsmanship and cohesion to the home’s interiors.

The result is a residence that not only maximises the natural setting but also translates Brad & Hayley’s strong design direction into spaces that are cohesive, functional, and deeply personal.
Attention to Detail
Brad and Hayley approached their Hillview Farmhouse project with excitement and a clear vision. While the early stages presented challenges, every hurdle was met with solutions that kept the build moving seamlessly.

Their hands‑on involvement in choosing fixtures, fittings, colours, and selections made the process deeply rewarding, and the finished home is a true reflection of their style and lifestyle. For Brad and Hayley, the experience was not only smooth and enjoyable, it left them wishing they could do it all over again.
The End Result
The completion of Hillview Farmhouse has transformed Brad and Hayley’s vision into a home that means everything to their family. Delivering the space they had long craved, it’s become the backdrop for everyday joy, whether the kids are straight into the pool after school, playing in the expansive backyard, or eagerly awaiting the mini soccer field now underway.

Thoughtfully designed details bring both beauty and functionality throughout. From the soaring raked ceiling in the main living area to the kitchen and flowing layout, every space feels intentional and connected.
